Happy Thanksgiving

Whether you have a great big family gathering or a small intimate family dinner I hope you are all having a fantastic day.  Our Thanksgiving this year will be a small one – just three of us – but there will be enough food for an army….turkey (although this year I did just buy a turkey breast and a couple of turkey legs instead of the whole bird), brussel sprouts (not everyone’s cuppa tea), dressing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, gravy, rolls, green bean casserole and making it’s first appearance at our table is pecan pie.

I share this menu with you not because it is in anyway spectacular but this is our menu for just the THREE of us.  We are abundantly blessed and often overlook these blessings.  BUT Thanksgiving is the one day of the year we set aside to appreciate what we have blessed with however big or small.

The 11 Month Project should serve as a daily reminder to each of us how richly blessed we are every single day.  When we reach for what we need each day and find it at our fingertips or, as in my case, a dig through a messy cupboard away, we can reassure ourselves that going 11 months with out adding to our stash of stuff should be a simple task.

Thanksgiving is a great time to think about the reason you personally have chosen to participate in The 11 Month Project.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE
